Fans were treated to an exhilarating night of outstanding fights at the EFC 111 tournament in Johannesburg, South Africa. Headlining the event was the sensational battle between Nkazimulo Zulu and Gift Walker. The match saw two-divisional EFC champion Nkazimulo “King Shaka” Zulu defeat flyweight titleholder Gift “The Day” Walker via submission due to a guillotine choke in round three.

Jean Jacques Lubaya beat Nerik Simoes in the featherweight division following a round-three split decision.
In the Bantamweight category, Asiashu Tahitamba showcased his superior fighting skills, and he put his opponent Martin De Beer in a ninja choke in round two. Also, Sibusiso Sovendle showed Davido Mambo, who’s boss, after a unanimous win in round three.

On the last main card, Adrian Sanchez faced off against Tapiwa Katikati. The match began with both opponents maintaining a guarded position and tagging each other in the opening round. Tapiwa went in for a vicious uppercut followed by a few jabs, but he missed his opponent. The two continued to feel each other out before Tapiwa went in for a low leg kick, and Sanchez retaliated with a kick. Tapiwa dropped a nice left hook underneath his rival’s guard, but Sanchez remained unphased.

Both rivals continued to throw strikes before clinching up. Tapiwa delivered a knee to the midriff, followed by a flying kick combo to Sanchez’s face. Tapiwa landed an overhand punch, but Sanchez responded with a left hook that knocked him out cold. Adrian Sanchez won the match after a referee stoppage due to a first-round knockout.
