Dillon Danis recently destroyed Warren Spencer in the opening seconds of Misfits Boxing 22, and now he has his sights set on the UFC.
Danis’ win over Spencer marked his third pro MMA victory. While many believe the fight was staged due to its quick ending, Danis remains unfazed by the criticism. Instead, he’s focused on getting noticed by the UFC and finally making it into the octagon.
“I was ready to go,” Dillon Danis told MMA Fighting after the bout. “I was ready to bang, to be honest. Once I hit him with that first shot, you could see he was going down, and he knew he was going down. I think he might have just, he tried to clinch, and once you grab a hold of me, I’m taking your neck, your arm, it doesn’t matter what it is.”
“It could be anybody. I’ve been saying this,” Danis continued. “It doesn’t matter who was out there tonight, it would have been the same thing. It could have been six seconds, it could have been 10 seconds. I’m on a different level, and I’ve known that from the beginning. That’s the reason these guys don’t want to fight me. They’re just scared to fight me. I want to get to the UFC, so they’re forced to fight me. Because I can beat every single one of these guys. Kevin Holland, all the guys in the Top 15, they’re all trash. I’m going to beat everybody’s ass.”
Danis was briefly on the UFC’s radar, but he had no interest in fighting on the Contender Series to earn his spot. Instead, he’s trying to catch the attention of the UFC matchmakers directly, believing this performance and his entire fight week will be enough for that.
“They’re definitely watching,” Dillon Danis said. “Stop hiding your guys from me, because you know I’m going to beat them. I think the fans after this will be like, ‘I want to see him.’ I sold the fight. The UFC is so boring now. No one even cares. It’s dying down. I can bring the whole entertainment, the whole package. I have the standup. I showed it tonight.
“I dropped the boxer, he ended up shooting on me, or driving in for the clinch. I took his neck in six seconds. At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter who they give me, I’ll go in and fight any single guy they want. Any single guy off the bat. I don’t care if it’s Jack Della Maddalena. Doesn’t matter who it is. Leon Edwards would be an easy one, any of those guys. Michael ‘Venom’ Page, I don’t care.”

If the UFC opportunity doesn’t come soon, Dillon Danis already has plans for his next Misfits fight. The fighter has his sights set on other fighters as he has recently made bold claims about defeating influencer KSI.
“That’s the fight I want to defend first, against Tony. I was happy for him to get the win. We talked and we said we’re going to get the money. GFL was offering some crazy money. I said, no, we’ll do Misfits. I think he still thinks GFL is going to happen.”
For now, Dillon Danis remains confident he can bring something fresh to the UFC, a mix of fighting skills and entertainment value that he claims the promotion desperately needs.
