Dillon Danis might be banned from UFC events, but Misfits has made it clear, they’re not following Dana White’s rules. The promotion confirmed that Danis is still fighting next month in Dubai, and nothing that happened at UFC 322 is changing their plans.

Just hours before the Madison Square Garden chaos, Dillon Danis had already announced his return, a title defense against Anthony Taylor for the Misfits MMA belt. The fight sits as the co-main event on a card headlined by Andrew Tate’s combat comeback, setting up one of Misfits’ wildest lineups yet.

The brawl at UFC 322, where Danis clashed with members of Islam Makhachev’s team, was unusual for the UFC but right on-brand for Misfits, where crowd fights and chaos are almost part of the atmosphere. Dana White responded quickly with a lifetime ban, but Misfits moved even faster.

In a statement released today, the promotion made their stance clear:

“Following the altercation at UFC 322 between Dillon Danis and members of Islam Makhachev’s team, Misfits Boxing can confirm that Dillon Danis remains welcome at all Misfits events moving forward.”

Danis

Danis will now defend his Misfits MMA title inside the boxing ring, taking on Anthony Taylo an opponent far tougher than Warren Spencer, the man Danis originally beat for the belt. Taylor enters the matchup with a 7–5 MMA record and a solid run of wins before switching to boxing, where he’s built a reputation for pulling off big moments.

While Dillon Danis has been reposting fan support across Instagram and X, he hasn’t offered a full explanation of the UFC 322 incident yet. However, one thing is clear, Misfits isn’t punishing him for it. Dillon Danis is fighting next month, ban or no ban.
