Danis

Dillon Danis hasn’t been the same since that circus of a boxing match with Logan Paul.

The fight, which went down at Misfits Boxing, ended in disaster for Danis. After weeks of trolling and attacking Paul’s fiancée Nina Agdal online, Danis failed to back it up in the ring. He barely threw punches, resorted to chaos in the final round, and got disqualified for trying to lock in a chokehold. The performance was a mess. The result was a loss and the aftermath was brutal.

“I don’t know man, it’s been tough for me,” Danis said during an interview with Wade Plemons. “Since that day, I’ve been like suicidal. Because I know I can beat him, and I know I can do better than that. I’m very competitive, so like, he sucks. I know he sucks.”

For Danis, the loss didn’t just bruise his ego, it cut deep. Despite the bad blood and the chaos surrounding the event, he still believed the win should’ve been his. Not just a win, he wanted a statement.

“It definitely fucking haunts me,” Danis continued. “We were supposed to have that MMA fight after, too. He shook my hand, but he’s scared of it. I wish he took it. We would’ve made so much money.”

In the lead-up to the bout, Danis heard whispers about Logan’s boxing skills. One of the most surprising came from UFC middleweight Paulo Costa.

“I went to dinner with Paulo Costa. We were supposed to fight at the first event, me and him, KSI and Tyron Woodley in Atlanta. Then Costa got hurt by Roman Reigns. At dinner, he told me, ‘I sparred Logan for real, and I had a tough time with him. I couldn’t do anything to him.’ I was like, ‘Are you serious?’ and he said, ‘Dead serious.’ He might be mad I said this, but I was shocked.”

Danis Paul

Even with the warnings, Danis believed the fight was his to win. Instead, it became one of the lowest moments of his career and his life.

Dillon Danis thrives on controversy. He built a persona off being the heel, the internet troll, the fighter who talks more than he competes. However, beneath all the noise is a guy who genuinely wanted to prove something in that ring and who never recovered from coming up short.

“I knew he was decent, but I could’ve beat him. I know I could’ve beat him. That’s what drives me crazy. That’s what’s killing me.”

Since the Logan Paul debacle, Danis has returned to action and even promises to battle KSI. He is set to compete in MMA against Warren Spencer at Misfits Boxing 22. Whether he wins or loses, one thing is certain: the ghost of Logan Paul still lingers.
