Deiveson Figueiredo walks away unscathed after vehicle rolls over multiple times. Former UFC flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo was involved in a car accident in Belem, Brazil on Thursday, but remarkably escaped without injury. The crash occurred when another vehicle allegedly sideswiped his Land Rover, causing it to roll over several times..

According to Figueiredo, he was driving along Quintino Bocaiúva Street toward Gentil Bitencourt when a woman, reportedly fleeing at high speed, emerged from a side street named Caripuna and struck the middle of his vehicle. The impact flipped his vehicle multiple times. “Thank God for the deliverance,” he wrote on Instagram, confirming that he was alone in the car and that his bulletproof vehicle helped protect him. “I was alone in the car,” Figueiredo told MMA Fighting. “My car is bulletproof and thank God nothing happened to me.”

Figueiredo holds a professional MMA record of 25-5-1 and recently snapped a two-fight losing streak by winning via split decision against Montel Jackson at UFC Rio. His next fight has not been officially scheduled.

Thankfully, what could have been a tragic incident ended with Figueiredo walking away unharmed. The former UFC champion expressed gratitude to his fans for their concern and said he’s now focused on recovery and returning to training soon.
