Following a quick knockout loss to Alex Pereira and the loss of his title, Magomedov Ankalaev has finally broken his silence with a statement that shook the internet.
UFC 320 was a night filled with takedowns and brutal finishes, but one fight that had fans on the edge of their seats was the light heavyweight championship rematch between Ankalaev and Pereira. In the early rounds, Ankalaev suffered a devastating knockout that left him dazed.
After the loss, Magomedov Ankalaev released his first statement on Instagram, reflecting on losing his title and sharing his plans moving forward.

“If Allah tested me with defeat, then He wants to toughen me.
“I bow to His will, but not to difficulties.
“To those who stayed – thank you.
“To those who turned out, thank you too.
“After all, Allah clears the way not only of weakness but also of unnecessary people.”
The loss marks Ankalaev’s first defeat since 2018, when he was submitted at the last second by Paul Craig in his UFC debut. Since then, Magomedov Ankalaev had gone unbeaten in 14 fights, including a decision victory over Pereira at UFC 313 in March.
