Usman vs Parkin

The UFC Fight Night at Las Vegas featured interesting matches in different divisions. The fight included the debuting of upcoming fighters Igor Severino and Andre Lima, amongst other formidable fighters. Also on the fight card was the battle between heavyweight fighters Mohammed Usman, brother of former UFC champion Kamaru Usman, and Mick Parkin.

The battle was the opening match at the UFC Fight Night. Usman came into the octagon with a good hold and fierce attacks in the first round, backing Parkin to the cage, but he kept his guard up and ate all of Usman’s vicious attacks. He continued with heavy looping right-hand strikes, which opened a cut over Parkin’s left eye and snapped Parkin’s head back. The British fighter recovered in the second round and scored a bight right-hand punch, hitting his opponent just behind the ear. Both fighters continued to rock each other with heavy punches and body shots. Usman scored more hits and heavy strikes, but Parkin landed more fatal punches and a leg kick that stumbled Usman. However, Usman retaliated with a few vicious attacks. Parkins kept his guard up while his opponent appeared to slow down during the last round. Later, The Brit made a big comeback with some hard punches and heavy strikes, which saw him emerge victorious in the round after a unanimous decision by the judges.

Usman has a track record of impressive fights and was the champion at Ultimate Fighter season thirty. He went on to win two successive UFC fights before finally facing Mick Parkin. Parkin, on the other hand, preserves his unbeatable record of 8-0 after prevailing in this fight.
