EARLY LIFE
He grew up in South Africa and began competing in regional amateur events around mid-2019.
MMA CAREER
Godogo made his amateur debut with a KO/TKO ground-and-pound win over Guide Moyo at Alpha MMA 1. His only amateur defeat was in 2019 where he lost via submission (verbal) to Francois Meyer at Alpha MMA 7. He also holds wins over Thabo Mampa, Alfah Nkosi, Musa Sethwape, and Marius Odendaal during 2019–2020.
He transitioned to professional MMA in July 2021 with EFC (Extreme Fighting Championship) in South Africa where he won his debut bout against Dylan Swanepoel. He later faced Masefi Nyoman and won via TKO (ground‑and‑pound) in Round 1. At EFC 93 he earned a unanimous technical decision win over Robert Simbowe after three rounds. He’s scheduled to make his PFL Africa debut on July 19, 2025, against Shannon van Tonder at GrandWest Arena in Cape Town.
