PFL 4: Davis

PFL 4 tournament was a night of thrilling fights and impressive sportsmanship. The event featured the return of Phil Davis who surprised audiences with a KO win over Rob Wilkinson.

The former Bellator light heavyweight champion wasted no time setting the tone early. A clean one-two followed by a body kick opened the action, and Davis kept Wilkinson guessing by mixing in the threat of a takedown. Wilkinson managed to land a solid right hand late in the first, but Davis came out in round two looking sharp. He clipped Wilkinson with a hard right that had the Aussie backing up, then dropped him with a second one. A few follow-up shots on the ground and the referee ended the fight, leaving David winner via KO.

Davis is set to face Sullivan Cauley in the semifinals and is ready to showcase his newfound confidence in the cage. His latest victory was a reminder of just how sharp he can still be, even at 40. With wins over names like Gustafsson, Machida, and Teixeira in his résumé, he’s still a threat in any tournament format.

In the co-main event of PFL 4, former Bellator interim champ Valentin Moldavsky took a decision over Sergey Bilostenniy in a wild back-and-forth brawl. The fight even had a brief power outage in round one, but once the lights came back, both men lit each other up. Moldavsky hurt Bilostenniy early but got clipped on the counter trying to finish.

It turned into a slugfest, but in round three, Moldavsky shifted gears—clinching and controlling rather than chasing a knockout. All three judges saw it 29-28 for the former Bellator standout. Moldavsky now moves on to face Alexandr Romanov, who submitted Tim Johnson in classic Romanov fashion.
