The recently concluded UFC 303 tournament, which took place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, was a night to remember. For many athletes, it was a night of victory, but for former Bellator star Michael ‘Venom’ Page, it was a bad day. The 37-year-old went toe-to-toe with undefeated fighter Ian Garry and lost following a unanimous decision.

The event was Page’s UFC debut after his promotional debut against Kevin Holland in March. The fight was supposed to be ‘Venom’ big moment, but sadly he suffered his first UFC defeat at the hands of Garry. Page has been quiet since his defeat against Garry but has recently broken his silence to share his thoughts on the loss. The welterweight MVP has accepted his defeat gracefully and has come out to make a statement.

“When defeat comes, accept it as a signal that your plans are not sound. Rebuild those plans, and set sail once more toward your coveted goal,”

The fight was a fierce battle, with Garry almost submitting Page with a rear-naked choke in round one. However, Page managed to recover in the second round and deliver some savage shots. Despite his efforts, the bout came to a close with the ruling in Garry’s favor.

Before his defeat. Page had only been defeated by the interim champion Logan Starley and Douglas Lima in 2019.
