UFC veteran and husband to Ronda Rousey–UFC bantamweight champion– Travis Browne is no longer with the UFC. The fighter recently completed his contract with UFC and was released from his contract.


The Hawaiian is known for his knockout power and formidable presence in the cage. Browne has been in 17 UFC fights and was last in the octagon on July 8, 2017, at UFC 213, where he faced Aleksei Oleinik. Browne signed with the UFC in March 2010 with an MMA pro record of 9-0 with eight finishes. The fighter had a good run before his MMA debut, winning the Victory Fighting Championship[VFC] heavyweight throne and interim Gladiator Challenge heavyweight championship.

Browne fought at the heavyweight limit during his time with the promotion. The fighter suffered a four-fight losing streak before his last loss at the battle with Oleinik. He contended for the UFC middleweight title but was defeated by former undisputed champion Cain Velasquez. He has a professional record of [18-7-1]. The fighter earned two Fight of the Night post-fight bonuses after facing Andrei Arlovski.


Although Browne is yet to make any comment on new developments following this news, fans are positive the fighter has had a good run at the UFC and will be a great addition to any promotion he decides to join next
