ONE Championship returns to Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, with a stacked fight card as Inner Circle 34 takes center stage on October 9.
The event will be headlined by a flyweight Muay Thai showdown between Suriyanlek Por Yenying and Rustam “Tomahawk” Yunusov. The card streams live for members and features several rising stars looking to make a statement.
Suriyanlek’s road back to competition has been anything but easy. The Thai veteran was sidelined after being struck by a car while on a training run, forcing him out of action just as he was building momentum. Before the setback, Suriyanlek had delivered impressive performances, including a dramatic comeback knockout victory over Tomyamkoong Bhumjaithai and a second-round finish of Rambong Sor Therapat.
His last appearance ended in a decision loss to Ramadan Ondash at Inner Circle 16, but he now gets the opportunity to restart his climb when he faces one of the hottest fighters on the roster.
Standing across from him will be Yunusov, who enters the bout riding an eight-fight winning streak. The Uzbek standout remains unbeaten in ONE Friday Fights competition and could move significantly closer to securing a lucrative $100,000 ONE Championship contract with another victory.
The co-main event of Inner Circle 34 features the return of Australian fan favorite Tyson Harrison. Harrison, who headlined the inaugural ONE Friday Fights event against Seksan Or Kwanmuang, has been away from competition for a year following a second-round knockout loss to Parham Gheirati.
Now, he faces Sweden’s Linus Bylander in a pivotal bantamweight Muay Thai contest. Bylander quickly made an impact in ONE Championship with a unanimous decision victory over Saensak Supergirl Jaroonsak before suffering a setback in his next outing. Known for his technical striking and dangerous left body kick, the Swedish southpaw has a major opportunity to elevate his standing with a win over Harrison.
The Inner Circle 34 event arrives just one week after a successful triple-header weekend for ONE Championship, where Regian Eersel successfully defended his ONE Lightweight Muay Thai World Championship and heavyweight contender Shamil Erdogan picked up another important victory.
For many fighters on this card, October 9 represents another chance to move closer to title contention and bigger opportunities within the promotion.
