EARLY LIFE

Emmanuel Nworie is an MMA athlete who has made a name for himself in combat sports. The athlete gained his first recognition at the COJA 2003 African Games when he won the gold medal in the wrestling competition. He is a skilled grappler with impressive knockout power, which he has shown in all his fights. The athlete has been in four professional fights and one amateur battle.

MMA CAREER

The fighter has competed in a host of MMA tournaments, including OFU Fight Night 2, Spirit of the Warrior, and AKO 1&2. His first battle was against Ben Bazi at the OFU Fight Night. The match started strong but soon came to an early end after Nworie pummeled his opponent into submission in the opening round.

Next, he competed at the amateur level against Daniel Appah at the Battle of the Gladiators tournament. He emerged victorious after delivering a series of blows and strikes that led to the eventual KO of Appah in the first round.

Soon after, he had a bout against Ike Chinonso, but there was no confirmed result from this fight. Later, he faced off against Ugandan fighter Lawerensce Mukiibi at AKO 1. Nworie started the round with a full-on body slam and proceeded to deliver some heavy hammer fists before Mukiibi recovered with leg kicks to fend off Nworie.

Round two began with Nworie’s essential takedown technique, heavy ground pounds, and headshots. Still, Mukiibi clinched Nworie and had him in a headlock before the final round ended with Nworie victorious via unanimous decision.

His last recorded bout was against Richard Aseidu at the AKO show, where his opponent delivered a nice high kick to the head, but Nworie soon managed to grapple his opponent to the floor. Aseidu was able to switch positions and ended up being on top of Nworie, delivering a deadly ground pound that led to the referee ending the fight. Following this, Aseidu was declared the winner of the match via TKO.
