Mike Perry has finally broken his silence after a disastrous night at Duel Arena 1.

“Platinum” headlined the promotion’s first-ever event in his hometown of Orlando on Saturday, but things quickly went sideways. Perry suffered a first-round stoppage loss to Brandon Jenkins after stepping in to fight on short notice following Dillon Danis’ withdrawal.

Perry appeared to injure his shoulder while throwing a barrage of punches against Jenkins. With his opponent clearly compromised, Jenkins capitalized on the injury, landing a heavy body kick and follow-up punches to force the referee to stop the fight.

The loss marked a disappointing end to what had already been a chaotic fight week for Perry. However, the former BKFC champion appears focused on recovery and learning from the experience.

On Monday, Mike Perry took to X for the first time since the defeat and shared a message that appeared to focus more on his health and future than the loss itself.

Boxer sits in the corner of a ring, eyes closed and mouth open in a loud yell, surrounded by staff and fans.

“Health is wealth,” Perry wrote. “The MMA lifestyle taking care of the body, mind and spirit. The gym helps the process of growing your strength, but strength is needed in other areas of life and should be exercised everywhere we go.”

“Organize, be consistent, more recovery and stretching. Taking knowledge into my future endeavors. More to work for, more work to do.”

Mike Perry entered Duel Arena 1 expecting to face Dillon Danis, but the matchup fell apart just two days before the event after Danis withdrew because of an arm injury.

The fight initially appeared to be going Perry’s way as he pressed forward and looked to overwhelm Jenkins with his trademark aggression. However, an exchange against the ropes left Perry’s shoulder visibly compromised.

Jenkins immediately recognized the injury and took advantage, landing a damaging body kick before following up with punches to secure the first-round stoppage.

Perry stayed quiet on social media the following day, but his latest message suggests he already has his attention on what comes next.

Rather than dwell on the defeat, Perry emphasized the importance of taking care of his body, staying disciplined and learning from the experience.

The 34-year-old also appeared to acknowledge that recovery needs to become a bigger part of his preparation moving forward.
