Campos’ win wiped out! Adeshina fight overturned after failed drug test. Wasi Adeshina vs. Ignacio Campos result overturned after failed drug test.

A major change has been made to the result of Wasi Adeshina vs. Ignacio “Nacho” Campos, the headline fight from PFL Africa’s historic debut in Nigeria. The featherweight showcase, which took place on June 13, 2026, at the Eko Convention Center in Lagos, originally ended with Campos submitting Adeshina by rear-naked choke at 1:45 of the first round. That result has now been overturned to a no contest.

According to Tapology’s updated bout record, the Wyoming Combat Sports Commission overturned Campos’ victory, with the listed reason being a failed drug test. The original result has consequently been removed from the official record and replaced with a no contest.

Campos initially produced one of the biggest moments of PFL Africa’s first Nigerian event. Fighting Adeshina in front of his home crowd, the Spaniard weathered an early take down attempt before getting back to his feet. Campos then connected with a knee during a clinch exchange before taking the fight back to the ground and securing the rear-naked choke. Adeshina was forced to tap at 1:45 of Round 1, giving Campos the submission victory. The result was initially recorded as an upset win for the Spanish fighter, however, the victory will no longer count as a win.

With the commission’s ruling, Campos no longer receives credit for the submission victory, while Adeshina does not receive a loss. The bout now goes into the records as a no contest, meaning neither fighter’s professional record is credited with a win or a defeat from the matchup. Tapology’s updated records reflect the overturned result. The development also changes the way the fight will be remembered. What initially looked like a breakthrough PFL victory for Campos has now become a controversial chapter in the featherweight’s career.

For Adeshina, the ruling removes what would have been a painful loss in his homecoming fight. The Nigerian entered the bout as the reigning 2025 PFL Africa Featherweight Champion and one of the promotion’s standout African fighters. PFL had promoted the matchup as the headline attraction for its first event in Nigeria, giving Adeshina the opportunity to compete in front of his home fans. Instead of officially falling to Campos, Adeshina now walks away from the bout with a no contest on his record.

The overturn comes after what was supposed to be a landmark night for PFL Africa. The June 13 event marked the promotion’s first event on Nigerian soil, with Adeshina vs. Campos serving as the featherweight showcase main event. The original submission finish was certainly memorable, but the subsequent commission ruling has completely changed its significance.
