MMA fighter in a black hooded UFC jacket walks toward the camera as fans reach out from the crowd.

Tim Elliott doesn’t do quiet exits and he definitely doesn’t ignore disrespect.

Fresh off a hard-fought loss at UFC Perth, Tim Elliott found himself dealing with more than just the result. The veteran flyweight dropped a unanimous decision to Steve Erceg in one of the most entertaining fights on the card, but the real noise came after the final bell.

As betting continues to grow around the UFC, fighters often take the heat when bets go wrong. Elliott was the latest target.

After posting on social media, one frustrated fan lashed out:

“I LOST MONEY ON YOU, YOU B——.”

Elliott didn’t let that slide.

“Get a job b—-,” he fired back.

That response pretty much sums up Tim Elliott—direct, unfiltered, and never one to back down, whether it’s inside the cage or online.

Despite the loss, Elliott’s performance reminded fans why he’s still a problem in the flyweight division. He came into the fight riding momentum, with wins over Kai Asakura and Sumudaerji, and he pushed Erceg in a competitive three-round battle.

More importantly, the defeat hasn’t shaken his mindset.

“I like to hear opinions, thoughts, beliefs. My mental health is top notch,” Elliott said. “It’s my old body that struggles lol.”

At 39, Elliott knows exactly where he stands. He’s not chasing hype—he’s proving he still belongs. With a résumé that includes wins over names like Tagir Ulanbekov and Louis Smolka, plus a past title shot against Demetrious Johnson, he’s seen it all.

And if fans think they can cross the line because a bet didn’t hit, Tim Elliott is making one thing clear, he’s going to answer back.
