Jon Jones fires back after Kamaru Usman picks Brock Lesnar to beat him in RAF Clash. The MMA world was stirred this week after a hypothetical matchup sparked real reactions, as Kamaru Usman backed Brock Lesnar to defeat Jon Jones in a potential Real American Freestyle (RAF) wrestling contest and Jones didn’t take it lightly.

Speaking during a recent podcast with Henry Cejudo. Usman weighed in on the fantasy matchup and leaned toward Lesnar. His reasoning was simple. According to Usman, Lesnar’s physical presence and ability to impose a grinding style would likely be too much, even for someone as skilled and versatile as Jones.

“This is a tough one, I would have to go with Brock, even though I think Jon is probably going to be a little bit more offensive,” Usman said. “I just think those limbs, shooting underneath a guy as big as Brock Lesnar, trying to get him down… he could stay in his stance, and he could hand fight — which at heavyweight definitely weighs a guy down.”

Jones didn’t stay silent but went ahead to post on social media. The former UFC champion fired back with confidence and a bit of swagger. Rather than just disagreeing, Jones doubled down, boldly claiming he could defeat both Usman and Lesnar in the same night. “I’m getting my hand raised against you and Brock at the same time,” Jones said to Usman.

Jon Jones has gone back and forth on his retirement status since vacating the UFC heavyweight title this past June. After Donald Trump revealed plans to host an event on the White House lawn, Jones re-entered the UFC’s drug-testing pool even though Dana White had repeatedly stated he would not allow Jones to compete on that card. This isn’t the first time cross-discipline matchups have captured attention, especially with the rise of promotions like RAF that blur the lines between MMA and wrestling. Even if this fight never happens, the conversation itself keeps fans engaged and imagining how legends from different paths would fare against each other.
